There are so many reasons why we turn to the natural world throughout our lives. It is reliably there, in all its glory and blind indifference. In the warmth of the setting sun and the power of the winter storms. Waves batting against the sandstone shores. Soft moss cushioning our bare feet with every step we take. We are nature. Nature is home.

This 4 acre section of Galiano became home to us in 2019.  We understand that at the core we do not own the land. We consider ourselves stewards of it.  We share what we can.  Ready to adjust as we change and grow. 

We are on the west coast of the island and a short walk from the ocean.  In the summer months, the property stays cool within the forest and very hot in direct sun.  In the winter and shoulder seasons the weather changes as often as thoughts and feelings do. 

FAQ

  • Sure. There are 2 dogs that live here. Both friendly. They are off leash and roam free within the property. There are also 2 cats.

  • No. Most of us rely on a car, bike or some sort of transport. The island is small but the stores and ferry terminal are about 4km from where we are. Galiano has lots of hills!

  • Cell reception is dodgy throughout Galiano. On the property the WiFi is moderately strong and reliable. The strongest signal is in the shared Yurt studio.
